The short answer

Aria Cucina Italiana: what visitors should know first

A sensible pick if the family wants pizza or pasta rather than Filipino food after a day on White Beach. It is at D'Mall, close to the beach, so book for dinner in the high season and check the menu for what suits you.

Why it matters

Why Aria Cucina Italiana is worth your time

After several days of rice, grilled meat and seafood, many Indian families look for something familiar in shape, such as bread, pizza and pasta. On an island where most restaurants sit within a few hundred metres of each other, Aria is one of the names that keeps appearing across independent guides, which is the closest stand-in we have for how widely a place is recommended.

It also sits in D'Mall, the main walkable food and shopping lane at Station 2, so it fits easily into an evening that includes a stroll, an ice cream and a look at the beach. That makes it a low-effort choice for older relatives who do not want a taxi or a long walk before dinner.

The same blog mentions homemade pastas, useful for families who want a plain tomato dish.

    D'Mall setting

Close to the beach and the lane's other eateries, so a short flat walk.

How to experience it

Aria is named by Wikivoyage, by My Boracay Guide (which calls it its pick for Italian and a long-time favourite on Station 2) and by the Discovery Shores blog, which places it at D'Mall on the beachfront and mentions wood-fire pizzas, homemade pastas and cocktails. Wikivoyage lists custom pizzas at roughly 400 to 600 pesos, but prices change, so treat that as a guide only.

The simplest approach is to share. Order one or two pizzas and a pasta for the table and let everyone pick. That suits a mixed family where some eat more than others, and it keeps a bill predictable. Vegetarians can usually build a meal from a plain cheese or vegetable pizza and a tomato pasta, but we did not see the menu, so ask what is made with meat stock or ham and whether the kitchen can leave something out.

Do not treat this as a vegetarian restaurant. It is a general Italian kitchen with meat, seafood and alcohol on the menu, and we have not tagged it for any diet. Go early for a quieter room, and confirm the current opening hours before you walk over.

Plan with confidence
