If you want to bathe, wear a dhoti or sarong over swimwear (modesty is expected) or a regular change of clothes you do not mind wetting. Men often bathe; women less commonly do, though it is allowed. After bathing, many pilgrims visit Dwarkadhish Temple immediately after, so timing this before dawn allows you to do both.
In the evening, return for the light and the calmer energy. The sea breeze picks up, oil lamps flicker at small shrines on the ghat, and the sound of evening prayers drifts from the nearby temple.
