Easy transfers to and in Kukke Subramanya
- Visit on a weekday morning and avoid Ashlesha Bali days, weekends and the Margashira Shashti festival if you can; queues are the main strain.
- Footwear stays outside, and stone floors get hot by midday. Carry water and plan a rest at your lodge after darshan.
- The Kumara Parvatha trek is not suitable for seniors. Enjoy the hills from the village, and use a car for Adi Subramanya.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
