Stop Time needed Walking Best time Bhangarh Fort Half a day including the drive Moderate Morning, October to March Pace: Moderate walking today — plan a sit-down break between stops.
With parents at Bhangarh Fort: The site involves open walking on uneven ground, a climb towards the palace at the far end, and little shade. The last 2 km of the approach road is unpaved, per Wikipedia, so it is a rough ride for those with back problems.

Pacing
Pacing a Mehandipur Balaji trip for parents and children
- Go on a weekday morning. Tuesday and Saturday are the busiest days, and festivals bring much longer queues.
- Be ready to stand for around two hours on busy days. Eat and drink before you enter, as eating inside is discouraged.
- Travel with a calm companion and keep a vehicle nearby. Agree a meeting point in case your group is separated in the crowd.
- Ask temple staff about assistance for wheelchair users or those who cannot stand long; arrangements are not clearly documented.
- If someone in your group is unwell, keep medical care in place alongside any ritual. The trust runs a hospital, and doctors in Jaipur or Dausa are within reach.
- Wear warm layers for the morning aarti in winter, and plan a long rest afterwards.
