Day 1: The core pilgrimage circuit
Leave Lucknow early so you reach Chakra Tirth in the first part of the morning, when it is quietest. Walk round the tank, visit Bhooteshwar Nath beside it, then walk to the Lalita Devi temple. Continue to Vyas Gaddi and the neighbouring Manu Satroopa Tapasthali, and see Suta Gaddi if you want the full circuit. Break for lunch and rest, then visit Hanuman Garhi on its mound and the Shri Naimishnath Vishnu temple. If time and energy remain, drive to Dadhichi Kund at Misrikh before heading back.
Stop Time needed Walking Best time Chakra Tirth 45–90 minutes Easy Early morning on an ordinary weekday; October to March Lalita Devi Temple 30–60 minutes Easy Morning; avoid festival days if you want calm Vyas Gaddi 30–60 minutes Moderate Morning or late afternoon; October to March Manu Satroopa Tapasthali 20–40 minutes Easy Morning; October to March Suta Gaddi 15–30 minutes Easy Morning; avoid festival days Hanuman Garhi 30–45 minutes Moderate Late afternoon Shri Naimishnath Vishnu Temple 30–60 minutes Easy Morning; Purnima is the main festival and is crowded Pace: Moderate walking today — plan a sit-down break between stops.
With parents at Vyas Gaddi: A small shrine stands on a raised mound reached by about ten to twelve steps, and there is limited seating. The ground around the banyan is uneven in places, so a stick or an arm helps.
With parents at Hanuman Garhi: The temple stands on a high mound, so expect a climb of steps and some queuing on busy days. Seating is limited; plan a rest before and after.

Day 1: Chakra Tirth and the nearby shrines
Arrive in time for a slow first morning at Chakra Tirth and Bhooteshwar Nath, then the Lalita Devi temple. After a midday rest, visit Hanuman Garhi in the late afternoon, when it is cooler, and spend the evening quietly in the town. Evening is the time to see the temples in their calmer, lamp-lit mood.

Day 3: Misrikh and the wider region
Drive to Dadhichi Kund and the Misrikh area, which is a short drive from the main town. If your trip falls in the Phalgun parikrama season, ask locally about the circuit and plan around the crowds. Otherwise use the day for a slow return to Lucknow, perhaps with a stop in Sitapur.

Guides for the stops on these routes
Pacing
Pacing a Naimisharanya trip for parents and children
- Plan one early start and one long midday rest. Naimisharanya's sites are close together, but heat, crowds and standing in queues are tiring.
- Avoid new-moon days (Amavasya), Purnima and major festivals if you need calm. Those days draw very large crowds to Chakra Tirth.
- Wear shoes you can slip off easily, and carry socks for hot stone floors in the courtyards. Temples generally require bare feet inside.
- Hire a car for the day and ask the driver to wait near the main temples, so you can rest in the vehicle between visits.
- Carry water, snacks, any medicines and a small seat cushion; facilities and seating are limited.
- Be firm but polite with priests who offer guidance or ask for money, and agree any donation yourself before a ritual begins.
