Why it matters

Why Yellow Bridge to Nusa Ceningan is worth your time

The bridge links two islands and two ways of life. Lembongan has most of the visitor services, while Ceningan is quieter and smaller, with seaweed farming and a handful of guesthouses. Crossing the bridge on foot is the simplest way to see both in one outing.

It also has a sobering back story. Wikipedia records that an earlier wooden bridge collapsed in 2016 during a religious procession, killing eight people, and the current suspension bridge opened in 2017. Knowing that, many visitors cross with more care, and the sturdier structure is a good reason to trust it.

On the Ceningan side, you can walk along the road or take a scooter to the viewpoints and the Blue Lagoon. Let scooters pass in single file, and do not stop in the middle for photographs, as the deck is narrow and shared.
