Easy transfers to and in Pasighat
- Travel between November and February, when days are mild and roads are dry. Avoid June to September, when landslides and delays are common.
- Choose drive-up viewpoints such as Raneghat and Komlighat. The hanging bridge descent at Bodak involves many steps and is best skipped if knees or balance are a concern.
- Hire a car with a driver for the whole stay. Distances are short on paper, but roads are narrow and public transport is infrequent.
- Carry regular medicines and a basic first-aid kit. Healthcare options in town are limited, so ask your hotel about the nearest hospital.
- Apply for your Inner Line Permit online well before departure and carry printed copies and photo ID.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
