Why it matters
Why Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is worth your time
Ferrari World was one of the first major attractions on Yas Island, and it shaped the island's family-leisure identity. For visiting families, it gives a full day of entertainment in controlled temperatures, which matters when outdoor sights are too hot.
Yas Island also holds Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, so it works as a base for children's holidays. For couples and older travellers, it is optional, and the museums give more lasting interest.

Plan your visit
How to experience it
Arrive at opening, because queues build quickly after noon. Head first to the rides with height limits you want, and leave the family rides and shows for the afternoon. Formula Rossa, once the world's fastest roller coaster at about 240 km/h, is the signature thrill and is not for everyone.
Family rides include Flying Wings, Turbo Towers, Speedway Race and Karting Academy, and children have Junior GP and Nello's Adventureland. Grandparents can sit out the big rides and enjoy the Ferrari gallery or shows.
Take breaks in air conditioning, and note that the park is mostly indoors, which makes it useful on hot days. Buy water inside, and plan the return taxi in advance.
