Easy transfers to and in Belagavi
- Belagavi Fort has a wide moat and uneven ground; ask your driver to wait close to the gate and take the temple and mosque at an easy pace.
- The fort is inside an army area. Carry photo ID and expect questions at the gate.
- Kittur and Gokak are roughly one to two hours by road each way; start early and plan a proper lunch stop.
- For Bhimgad and Ghataprabha, confirm access with the forest department first. Facilities are minimal and roads can be rough.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
