Easy transfers to and in Bhindawas
- Treat Bhindawas as a vehicle-based outing: the track around the lake lets you watch birds from the car, so walking can stay short.
- Carry water, a hat, snacks and any medicines; shade, seating, food and toilets near the water are limited.
- Avoid April to June, when the plains are extremely hot and there is little shade, and be careful in the monsoon when tracks can turn muddy.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
