Easy transfers to and in Binsar
- Carry a torch, power bank and layers; some lodges supply electricity for only a few evening hours.
- The road from Almora is narrow and winding. Hire a driver who knows hill roads, avoid night driving and avoid the monsoon months.
- Mobile signal and card payments are patchy, so carry cash and download maps and tickets before you go up.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
