Easy transfers to and in Dholavira
- Use a private car with a driver you trust. There is no public transport on the island and breaks are hard to arrange without your own vehicle.
- The ruins offer little shade or seating. Carry a hat, water and a folding stool if you need regular rests, and use the museum as a cool break.
- Carry your regular medicines and a basic first-aid kit. The nearest large hospital is in Bhuj, hours away.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
