The short answer

Trèsind Studio: what visitors should know first

Only if modern Indian fine dining is a major reason for your trip and you can get a booking. It is expensive and theatrical, and not relaxed. Vegetarian guests should ask about options before booking, as this is not a vegetarian kitchen.

Why it matters

Why Trèsind Studio is worth your time

For decades, Indian cuisine abroad was treated as cheap and familiar, however skilled the cook. This restaurant has changed that argument. In the 2025 Michelin Guide Dubai it became the first Indian restaurant in the world to earn three stars, and the same year it ranked No. 27 in The World's 50 Best Restaurants and was named the best in the Middle East.

For an Indian visitor, that result carries meaning beyond the food. It shows Indian regional cooking being judged on the same level as the world's most celebrated kitchens. It may not suit every family or budget, but it is a significant part of what Dubai's food scene now is, even for those who only read about it.

Highlights

What not to miss

  1. 01

    Rising India

The current tasting menu travels through the subcontinent's regions course by course.

  2. 02

    The theatre

Guests move between parts of the room, so the meal plays out almost like a staged event.

  3. 03

    Three Michelin stars

It is the first Indian restaurant in the world to hold this rating, awarded in 2025.

Plan your visit

How to experience it

Start with the booking itself, since tables here are in high demand. Reserve as early as the restaurant allows, and state dietary needs up front, as the set menu is built in advance and cannot be easily changed on the night. The current menu, called Rising India, is grouped by regions of the subcontinent, and the serving is designed as a performance.

Expect to be moved between different parts of the room as the evening goes on, and allow around three hours. Dress for an occasion and arrive on time. Palm Jumeirah traffic can be slow in the evening, so leave extra time for the taxi.

Vegetarians should ask directly whether a full vegetarian version is available and how the kitchen handles it. If they cannot offer one that fits your family's rules, the sister restaurant Avatara in Dubai Hills is the natural alternative, as it is built around vegetarian cooking from the start. Do not bring young children, who will find the format long.

Plan with confidence

Small checks that make a better meal.

  • Reserve as far in advance as possible
  • Raise vegetarian needs before booking, not on the night
  • Leave extra time for Palm Jumeirah traffic
  • Check current prices and any deposit
