Easy transfers to and in Jamshedpur

  • Jubilee Park, the zoo and the lake at Dimna are flat; Dalma involves hill roads and uneven ground, so pick viewpoints over treks.
  • Hire a car with a driver for Dimna and Dalma, since public transport is limited.
  • Choose a hotel with a lift and easy car access in Bistupur or Golmuri.
  • Carry water, sanitiser and any medicines; hospitals are good in the city but remote hill areas are not.
  • Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
  • Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
  • Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
