Pacing

Pacing a Khejarla trip for parents and children

  • Book a car from Jodhpur for the transfer; the road trip is the most tiring part of the visit.
  • Ask the hotel for a room close to dining and reception, and confirm whether lifts or ground-floor rooms exist.
  • Carry any regular medicines, since village pharmacies are basic and larger hospitals are in Bilara, Pipar or Jodhpur.
  • Walk in the cool hours, from October to March, and rest at midday.
  • Wear sturdy shoes for old stone and village lanes.
  • Heat: Summers are severe, often above 40C. Visit from October to March and keep midday for rest.
