Taxis, autos and e-rickshaws serve the town. For lakes, the Sun temple, Vijay Sagar and day trips to Kulpahar and Charkhari, hire a car and driver for the day and agree the fare in advance.
For parents and senior travellers
Easy transfers to and in Mahoba
- Carry water, a hat and any medicines, as services are limited outside the town centre.
- Hire one car and driver for the day rather than arranging each hop; sights are spread out and public transport is thin.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
