For parents and senior travellers
Easy transfers to and in Panchgani
- Choose viewpoints reached by car, such as Sydney Point and Harrison's Folly, and skip the long walks on Table Land if the sun is strong.
- Fort and cave outings need care: Kamalgad is a demanding trek and Rajpuri has steps and wet floors. Pick one gentle outing per day.
- Carry a light jacket in winter; evenings drop to the mid-teens and wind on the plateau feels colder.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
