Easy transfers to and in Pawapuri
- Wear shoes that slip off easily. You will remove them at the entrance and walk the causeway barefoot, so carry a pair of thin socks if the ground is hot.
- Rajgir has better hotels and food than Pawapuri; use it as a base and make Pawapuri a half-day outing by car.
- Carry water, a hat and any medication, as shops are limited. Ask about wheelchair access at the Jal Mandir on arrival.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
