Pacing
Pacing a Sanur trip for parents and children
- Walk the beachfront path at sunrise or after 4 pm and rest in the hot middle of the day.
- Ask your hotel for a ground-floor or lift-served room, and check beach access for steps.
- Tide matters: the shallow reef can make swimming awkward at low tide, so use a hotel pool or ask for tide times.
- Carry travel insurance and know the nearest major hospital; Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar is the main public hospital, and private clinics serve tourists.
- For boat trips, ask about assisted boarding and sea conditions before booking, and skip them if the sea is rough.
- Dress modestly for temples and carry water, a hat and a light sarong.
