For parents and senior travellers
Easy transfers to and in Saputara
- Book a hotel with a lift or ground-floor rooms and easy car access, especially in holiday periods.
- Hire a car for day trips; roads to Waghai and Ahwa are long, so break the journey and carry water.
- Carry a light layer for evenings, and rain gear from June to September.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
