Easy transfers to and in Satpura Tiger Reserve
- Ask for the front or side seat in the jeep and carry a cushion; tracks are rough and bumpy.
- Winter mornings on the open jeep and the river crossing are cold, so wear layers and a scarf.
- Carry regular medicines and a basic first-aid kit; the nearest larger towns are Narmadapuram and Itarsi.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
