How to reach Sentosa by air

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is about 24 km east of the city centre, and Sentosa is roughly 40 to 60 minutes away by road depending on traffic. Air India, IndiGo, Singapore Airlines and Scoot serve several Indian cities; verify routes with the airlines.

How to reach Sentosa by train

Sentosa has no railway. The nearest MRT stop is HarbourFront on the North East and Circle lines, beside VivoCity, where the Sentosa Express monorail begins. There is no useful long-distance train service from India.

How to reach Sentosa by road

A road causeway links Sentosa to the mainland, open to taxis, buses and cars. Visitors on foot can use the covered Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity. Check any entry charges for vehicles before you travel.

Getting around Sentosa

The Sentosa Express runs from VivoCity to Beach Station and other stops on the island. A free beach shuttle serves Palawan, Siloso and Tanjong beaches, and buses and the cable car also connect zones. Walking is practical within clusters.

Easy transfers to and in Sentosa

  • Ask about wheelchair loans and lift access at each attraction when you arrive, because layouts differ widely.
  • Carry medicines in original packaging, take out travel insurance that covers medical care, and note that Singapore's hospitals are on the mainland.
  • Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
  • Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
  • Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
