The short answer
Whole Earth: what visitors should know first
Yes, if the family wants a meat-free sit-down dinner that is not Indian. Plant-based does not confirm vegan or egg-free here, and it is not an Indian kitchen, so ask about egg, dairy, onion and garlic.
History and context
The story behind Whole Earth

Why it matters
Why Whole Earth is worth your time
Whole Earth shows that a meat-free menu can be the main event at a restaurant. Its site says it was founded in 2003 and that it has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand since 2016, which it calls a first for a plant-based restaurant in Singapore.
For a vegetarian family, this is the choice when you want a proper dinner out for a special evening, away from Little India, and when you are happy to eat Southeast Asian rather than Indian flavours.

How to experience it
Order a few dishes to share. The restaurant's site and Eatbook name the Enchanted Forest, with Monkey Head mushroom and broccoli in a dang gui gravy, Penang Rendang made with shiitake mushrooms, Crispy Golden Oats with tofu and curry leaves, and Thai Sweet and Sour Delight with soya-based meat and pineapple.
Add rice. The Signature Olive Rice and X.O. Rice are named on its site, and Eatbook lists a Thai Tom Yam Rice. Eatbook gave prices in Singapore dollars before service and tax, which may have changed.
The style is Peranakan and Thai, not Indian, so expect lemongrass, chilli, coconut and tamarind flavours rather than Indian spice. The site calls the cuisine plant-based but does not say whether eggs and dairy are used, so a vegan or egg-free diner should phone first. Eatbook reports it uses no pork or lard and is not halal-certified.
