Day 1: Fort, temples and Chaugan

Stop Time needed Walking Best time Sujanpur Tira Fort 1 to 2 hours Moderate Morning, October to March; avoid July and August rain Gauri Shankar Temple 30 to 45 minutes Moderate Morning light, October to March Murli Manohar Temple 20 to 30 minutes Easy Morning; Holi week for the festival Pace: Moderate walking today — plan a sit-down break between stops.
With parents at Sujanpur Tira Fort: The approach and the grounds are uneven, with broken stone, slopes and steps, and there is little shade or seating. A walking stick helps. Older visitors may prefer to see the exterior and the nearby temples rather than every corner.
With parents at Gauri Shankar Temple: The temple sits on the fort hill, so the approach involves slopes and steps. There is little seating. The interior is small, so you do not need long on your feet once inside.
