Pacing
Pacing a Udaipur trip for parents and children
- Visit Tripura Sundari Temple early or on a weekday; Diwali brings crowds that can exceed 200,000 and are exhausting.
- Kalyan Sagar and the temple court are largely level; carry a seat cushion and ask for a quiet spot if you need rest.
- Choose a car with driver for the Gumti and Devtamura excursions, since public transport is thin and the roads are rural.
- Skip the boat and forest if mobility is limited; Matabari, Kalyan Sagar and Bhuvaneswari are rewarding on their own.
- Wear shoes that come off easily; temple courtyards need bare feet and the stone gets hot by midday.
- Carry medicines and water; the nearest hospitals are in Agartala.
