Near Siliserh Lake
Best for: A lake view and quieter evenings
Good to know: The lake road has a palace hotel and a few guest houses. It adds a drive of about 13–15 km into the city but is calm at night. Check meal availability.

Sariska gate area
Best for: Wildlife-focused trips with early safari starts

Alwar city centre and station side
Best for: Short stays, rail arrivals and easy access to the museum and old town
Good to know: Hotels near the railway station and the City Palace are basic to mid-range. Traffic is noisy but cars and autos are easy to find. Check lift access if you are travelling with elders.
- 04
Neemrana highway belt
Best for: A heritage-hotel night on the Delhi–Jaipur road
Good to know: Neemrana is about 66 km from Alwar and works as an overnight on the way to or from Delhi. It is not a base for Sariska.

Before you book
What to check when booking for older travellers
- Ask for a lift, or a ground-floor room — many heritage hotels have steps and no lift.
- Check how far the hotel is from the sights you care about, in minutes by road, not kilometres.
- Prefer free cancellation until close to the date, in case plans or health change.
- Look for 24-hour reception, in-house dining and a doctor-on-call policy.
- Read recent reviews for noise — old-city streets and wedding venues can be loud late.
