Where to eat in Bohol: 12 restaurants

Bohol food is Filipino: rice with grilled or stewed pork, chicken and fish, seafood, and sweets such as kalamay (a sticky sweet of glutinous rice, coconut milk and sugar) and peanut kisses, as Wikivoyage lists. Vegetarian travellers can get rice, vegetable dishes, fruit and eggs, but menus often use fish sauce, shrimp paste or meat stock, so ask carefully.

We could not verify a dedicated pure vegetarian, Jain, vegan or Indian restaurant in Bohol from sources we opened, so none is tagged in this guide. Wikivoyage's lists for Bohol, Panglao and Tagbilaran name no Indian or vegetarian restaurants. If you need strict vegetarian or Jain food, tell your resort or hotel kitchen several days before arrival, carry dry snacks for the inland loop, and consider a self-catering room with a kitchenette. Bottled or filtered water is the safer choice.

Menus and kitchens change. If you follow a strict diet or have an allergy, confirm with the restaurant before you order.
