Plan 01
1 day in Churdhar
- 01
Day 1: Rajgarh and forest edge

Start early from Sarain or Nohradhar, climb through deodar and oak forest to the temple complex, and settle into the shelter.
- 02
Day 2: Summit and descent
Visit the shrine and the summit area at dawn, then descend to your vehicle by afternoon.
Plan 03
3 days in Churdhar
- 01
Day 1: Arrive at Rajgarh
Arrive, settle in, walk the village, and sort guide and transport.
- 02
Day 2: Nohradhar to the temple
Trek up from Nohradhar, overnight at the temple.
- 03
Day 3: Descent and Haripurdhar
Descend, then drive on to Haripurdhar for the Bhangayani temple if time and weather permit.
Pacing
Pacing a Churdhar trip for parents and children
- Choose the shorter Sarain route over the longer Nohradhar route.
- Take two nights on the way up to adjust to altitude if you are over 60 or have heart or lung issues.
- Carry warm layers, regular medicines and a torch, as the shelter is basic.
- Consider Haripurdhar and Rajgarh instead of the summit if fitness is limited.
- Avoid July-August, when roads and trails are slippery.
- Season: Plan April to June or September to November. Avoid July and August, and winter unless experienced with snow.
