Easy transfers to and in Fatehgarh Sahib
- Go early. The main gurdwara is calmest before about 9 am, and the marble is cooler underfoot. Carry a head scarf and socks for the shoe counter in winter.
- Do the three gurdwaras with a car and driver rather than walking between them, especially in heat.
- Carry water and any medicines. Facilities outside the gurdwaras are basic.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
