Guides for the stops on these routes
Pacing
Pacing a Kakinada trip for parents and children
- Plan one outing a day and rest after lunch; heat and humidity build quickly.
- Go to Coringa in the morning and carry water, a hat and repellent; there is little shade on the walk to the creek.
- Hire a car with a driver for the temple circuit; public transport to Samalkot and Gollala Mamidada is limited.
- Check weather before travelling from October to December, as cyclones can close roads and cancel boat rides.
- Temples need modest dress and bare feet on hot stone; carry socks.
- Heat and humidity: April to June is very hot and humid; carry water and plan outings for mornings.
