Pacing
Pacing a Krishnagiri trip for parents and children
- Treat the fort climbs as optional: both involve uneven steps, little shade and no handrails.
- Choose a hotel with a lift or ground-floor room and easy car access; options vary widely.
- Start hill walks at sunrise and be down by mid-morning, particularly from March to June.
- Carry your own water and snacks; there are no stalls on the hills.
- The museum and dam park are level and are good alternatives for older relatives.
- Heat: April and May are hot even at the hill's foot. Schedule climbs for sunrise and rest in the afternoon.
