Easy transfers to and in Lothal

  • Carry a hat, water and an umbrella for shade. Benches and shelter are limited, so build in rest stops at the museum, which is out of the sun.
  • Ask your driver to park as close as the entrance rules allow, and walk the site in one direction without retracing steps.
  • Avoid the monsoon months if mobility is a concern; the ground can be slippery and the road in can be affected by heavy rain.
  • Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
  • Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
  • Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
