Easy transfers to and in Maihar
- Take the ropeway or vehicle road to the temple. The stairway has more than a thousand steps and is hard on knees, especially going down.
- Choose a hotel near the temple road, ask for a ground-floor room and keep the afternoon free for rest.
- Carry water, a hat, a light stole or shawl for cool mornings, and keep valuables minimal in the crowd.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
