Kalka (KLK), about 5 km north of Pinjore, is the closest main station and the start of the Shimla narrow-gauge line. Chandigarh Junction (CDG) is a bigger railhead about 20 km away with more connections.
How to reach Pinjore by road
Pinjore lies on the Chandigarh–Kalka road, about 20 to 22 km from Chandigarh and about 5 km from Kalka, and about 90 km short of Shimla. Buses and shared taxis serve the route, and the drive from Chandigarh takes roughly 40 minutes to an hour.
Getting around Pinjore
A car or app cab from Chandigarh or Panchkula is the easiest way in. Local buses run along the highway, and autos cover short hops to the garden and the Kalka temple. Within the garden complex a heritage train is reported to run, subject to operating days.
