Pacing
Pacing a Pokaran trip for parents and children
- Visit between November and February; summer heat is intense.
- The fort and town are flat; go in the morning and rest at midday.
- Avoid the Ramdevra fair days if you tire in crowds.
- Carry water, a hat and any medicines; services are limited.
- Break the Jodhpur to Jaisalmer drive here rather than doing it in one go.
- Heat: April to July is very hot; do outdoor stops in the morning.
