Ras Al Khaimah has Emirati, Lebanese, Turkish, Mediterranean and international restaurants, many inside resorts. Skeek Restaurant & Cafe near the old town serves Emirati dishes with Gulf views, and the Al Qawasim Corniche has cafes and takeaway stalls. Arabic coffee with dates is the standard welcome.

Vegetarian eating needs planning. Najm Cafe in Al Jazirah Al Hamra states on its own website that it is 100% pure vegetarian, and we have tagged it on that basis; we found no Jain or vegan restaurant to tag. Many Indian-run restaurants in the city serve vegetarian thalis and dosas, but without a source we do not tag them.

In practice, ask your hotel in advance for vegetarian or Jain-style meals, which resort kitchens can usually prepare. Order mezze such as hummus, moutabal and falafel from Lebanese restaurants, but check whether dishes share fryers or stock with meat. Dubai and Sharjah have more dedicated vegetarian restaurants and are reachable by road.

Menus and kitchens change. If you follow a strict diet or have an allergy, confirm with the restaurant before you order.
