Easy transfers to and in Rohet

  • The road from Jodhpur is straightforward but rural, and sometimes shared with livestock; ask your driver to avoid driving after dark.
  • Skip horse riding if balance or knees are an issue; the stables, the lake walk and a car-based village loop give the same sense of place.
  • Jeep seats are firm and the ground is uneven. Ask for a car instead of an open jeep if your back is delicate.
  • Carry water, a hat and sunscreen on every outing; shade is limited away from the hotel garden.
  • Carry any regular medicines with you. There is little in Rohet beyond the hotel, and Jodhpur has the nearest full hospitals.
  • Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
  • Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
  • Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
