Easy transfers to and in Sasan Gir
- Book the earliest available safari slot; later morning drives are warmer and the jeep's open sides make early starts genuinely cold in winter, so bring a jacket and a blanket.
- Carry water, sunscreen and a hat for daytime stops even in winter; shade is limited at dam viewpoints and the crocodile centre's open enclosures.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
