Why it matters
Why Adventure Cove Waterpark is worth your time
Adventure Cove opened on 22 November 2012 alongside the aquarium, as part of Marine Life Park. It adds a different kind of day to Sentosa: instead of rides themed on films, it offers water to cool down in, which is useful in a climate where daily highs sit around 31°C all year.
It will not appeal equally to everyone in a mixed-age group, so think about who will actually get in the water. If most of the group will watch, a morning at the Oceanarium or the beach may suit them better.

How to experience it
Start with the lazy river, because it is the part everyone can do. Adventure River is about 620 metres long, with 13 themed scenes that include tropical jungle, grottoes and passages alongside an aquarium. Children can drift round while parents or grandparents sit in a tube or watch from the side.
For thrill, head to Riptide Rocket, which is described as the region's first hydro-magnetic water coaster. The park has seven slides in total, two pools and four children's areas, including a wave pool and Bluwater Bay. Go to the slides earlier in the day, when queues are shorter, and use the afternoon for the pools and river.
Bring swimwear, a rash vest or similar if modesty matters to your family, a hat and sunscreen. Check what footwear and swim attire the park allows when you buy tickets.
Plan with confidence
Small decisions that make the visit easier.

Is the lazy river suitable for everyone?
It is the gentlest part of the park, but check depth and age rules, and use life jackets for non-swimmers.
Can we spend a short time here?
Three hours is a reasonable minimum if you want slides, the river and the pools.
Should we combine it with another park?
Most families do one major attraction per day in Singapore's heat. Adventure Cove pairs well with an evening at the beach.
