Why it matters
Why Shiroda (Paradise) Beach is worth your time
Shiroda shows the Goa-adjacent end of Sindhudurg: a longer beach, a few more services and the first water sports on this part of the coast. It remains much quieter than the beaches a short distance south.
The beach's view of the Redi fort across the creek links the shore and the heritage in the same frame. It also puts you close to the Goa border, so the beach can serve as a calm stop between the heritage sights at Redi and a longer journey south, with enough activity on offer for visitors who want more than a walk.

How to experience it
Shiroda is about ten kilometres south of Vengurla, on the road towards Goa. The beach stretches along a quiet shore with casuarina and coconut trees behind it. Visitors walk, watch the sunset and, on some days, try a short water-sports session offered by local operators.
Because the beach is exposed, check sea conditions and avoid the water when the waves are high. There are no lifeguards you can rely on. Nearby resorts offer dolphin cruises on the Velagar side, but confirm availability and safety before booking.
The Yashwantgad Fort at Redi sits within view of the beach, and the two make a natural half-day. Bring water, a hat and sunscreen.
Plan with confidence
