Pacing
Pacing a Bobbili trip for parents and children
- The fort grounds and temple are largely level, so Bobbili is gentle on older travellers, but facilities such as seating and toilets are not well published.
- Go in the morning in the cooler months and rest from midday. Summer heat and the October rains are both uncomfortable.
- Ask permission before entering the palaces and the museum, as parts are used as offices and may not be open to visitors.
- Hire a car for Gollapalli and Ramatheertham rather than relying on buses, particularly if travelling with parents.
- Ramatheertham involves hill climbs; older visitors can limit themselves to the Rama temple in the village.
- Carry cash and water, as small shops may not accept digital payments.
