The short answer
Temple of Leah: what visitors should know first
Go if you enjoy unusual buildings and views. It is a private memorial, not an ancient temple. Allow about an hour, check it is open, and expect an entrance fee whose amount we could not verify.
History and context
The story behind Temple of Leah
Teodorico Adarna built the memorial for his wife, Leah, who died in January 2010. It opened to the public in 2012 although construction was not finished. Admission was free at first, but an entrance fee was later introduced. It was temporarily closed in 2020 amid a family dispute over administration, then reopened and was operating as a tourist attraction again by 2023.

Why it matters
Why Temple of Leah is worth your time
Businessman Teodorico Soriano Adarna built the memorial to honour his wife, Leah Albino-Adarna, after her death in January 2010. It was meant to house her collection, which she had worried about while ill.
It opened to the public in 2012 before construction was finished, built of cement, wood and steel-reinforced concrete and designed to last a millennium. It has since become a local tourist stop, a story of private grief that shaped Cebu's skyline and visitors' itineraries.

How to experience it
Take a taxi up the Transcentral Highway to Busay and ask the driver to wait. The building is a Roman-inspired structure on a hilltop with about 4,992 square metres of floor area, and the front is the usual photograph.
Inside there are 24 chambers holding the collection of Leah Adarna, including antiques, Chinese jars and books, and a 2.74 metre bronze statue of her with a plaque signed by her husband. It is more a memorial than a museum, so expectations should be moderate.
The real draw is the view of Mandaue, Mactan and the city below. Come in the late afternoon, and combine it with the Taoist Temple, which is in the same hills. Temple of Leah is not a place of worship, despite the name.
