Easy transfers to and in Hua Hin
- Wear slip-on shoes and carry a light scarf. Temples need covered shoulders and knees, and shoes come off at prayer halls.
- Pavements are uneven and some have stalls and parked motorbikes. Use a hired car for short hops at midday and at night.
- Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin and San Paulo Hospital are private hospitals in town, according to Wikivoyage; check current details. Travel insurance that covers hospital care is essential, and bring your regular medicines with prescriptions.
- Khao Takiab and Wat Huay Mongkol have steps and wild monkeys at Khao Takiab. Do not carry loose food, and keep bags closed.
- For Khao Sam Roi Yot, the climb to Phraya Nakhon Cave is strenuous. Ask your driver or the park office about the boat option and decide on the day.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
