Hua Hin is a Thai seafood town. The Hua Hin Night Market on Dechanuchit Road is the best-known place to eat, with fresh fish and shellfish grilled on the spot, as well as noodles, fruit and sweets. Vegetarians should be careful at any Thai stall: fish sauce, shrimp paste, oyster sauce and egg often appear in dishes that look vegetarian, and a cook may not understand 'no onion or garlic'. Learn a few phrases or carry a card in Thai that says you eat no meat, fish, egg or fish sauce.

Indian restaurants exist in town, and Wikivoyage notes Western, Indian and Japanese options along the main roads, but we could not verify from a source we opened that any Hua Hin restaurant is pure vegetarian, Jain or vegan, so this guide adds no diet tags and names no such restaurant. Wikivoyage lists one vegan cafe, Hua Hin Vegan Cafe and Wine, in a shopping mall on Phetkasem Road; we could not confirm from its own site or menu that the whole menu is vegan, so we do not tag it. Ask your hotel to arrange vegetarian or Jain meals in advance, and phone any restaurant before you go.

Menus and kitchens change. If you follow a strict diet or have an allergy, confirm with the restaurant before you order.
