Why it matters
Why Rampa Waterfall is worth your time
Rampa is the most reliable waterfall in the Maredumilli area, flowing even when the roadside falls have dried. It sits in the heart of the Rampa agency, the hill country of tribal villages and forest that gives the region its character.
A visit also takes you to Rampachodavaram, a small tribal town that is now a district headquarters, and through dense forest on the jeep track. It adds variety to a Maredumilli trip and gives winter visitors a full waterfall to see.

How to experience it

The waterfall drops about 15 m (50 ft) into a pool where visitors take a dip when the flow is safe. Unlike Jalatarangini and Amruthadhara, Rampa is fed through the year, so it is worth visiting in winter when the seasonal falls are low.
