Plan 01

1 day in Boracay

  1. 01

Day 1: White Beach and sunset

Arrive early or use a morning boat transfer. Walk the Beachfront Path from Station 1 towards Station 2, stop at Willy's Rock for photographs, then settle into a shaded spot. Rest after lunch, then browse D'Mall in the late afternoon. End with a paraw sail or a beach sunset before an early dinner.

    Willy's Rock20 to 30 minutesEasySunrise or sunset
D'Mall1 to 2 hoursEasyLate afternoon and early evening

Pace: All the stops today are easy on the legs.

Plan 02

2 days in Boracay

  1. 01

    Day 1: White Beach

Walk White Beach in the morning, stopping at Willy's Rock, then rest through midday. In the late afternoon, take a short paraw sail and watch the sunset. Eat in D'Mall.

  2. 02

    Day 2: Island circuit

Take a tricycle to Mount Luho for the view, continue to Puka Beach for a quiet morning, and return for lunch. In the evening, visit D'Talipapa if you want to see the market, or walk to Diniwid Beach for a quieter sunset.

Pace: Moderate walking today — plan a sit-down break between stops.

With parents at Diniwid Beach: The footpath around the headland has uneven ground and some steps. Shade is limited, and the small beach has few places to sit apart from nearby cafes.

Plan 03

Spend the first day at an easy pace on White Beach, with a short sunset sail.

  3. 03

Day 3: Boat day or slow day

Active travellers can take a boat trip to Ariel's Point or try a discovery dive with a licensed centre. Others can enjoy a slow beach day, a spa visit, a quiet Diniwid sunset and a last walk through D'Mall.

    StopTime neededWalkingBest time
Ariel's PointHalf a dayDemandingMorning on a calm day
D'Mall1 to 2 hoursEasyLate afternoon and early evening

Pace: Ariel's Point involves a lot of walking or steps — do it early, and keep the rest of the day light.

With parents at Ariel's Point: Boarding outrigger boats from the beach and climbing rocks make this unsuitable for travellers with limited balance. Sea conditions can be rough; those prone to seasickness should avoid it.

Guides for the stops on these routes

Pacing

Pacing a Boracay trip for parents and children

  • The island is small and flat, but sand is tiring. Choose a hotel close to the Beachfront Path and request a ground-floor room.
  • Arrival involves a small mainland airport, a short road transfer and a boat to Boracay. Ask your hotel to arrange the whole journey, including assistance with luggage.
  • Humidity and sun are strong. Plan outings for early morning and late afternoon, and rest in air-conditioned rooms through midday.
  • Check where the nearest clinic or hospital is and buy travel insurance with medical cover, since larger hospitals are on the mainland.
  • Carry regular medicines in their original packaging, plus a copy of the prescription.
  • Boarding paraw sailboats and outrigger boats needs balance; ask crews for help, or watch from the beach.
