Post-monsoon and winter mornings, with a full river

    Tiger Point Waterfall

A waterfall of roughly 60 metres, fed by the Mahadev Muda river, on the plateau road about 7 km from Mainpat village. Best after the rains, when there is water to see.

    Walking
    Easy
    Best time
Late monsoon to early winter (roughly September to December), when the river is full

Experiences in Mainpat

    Jaljali (Bouncing Land)

    Walking

    Best time
Dry-to-damp weather in daylight; mornings are comfortable

  2. 05

    Ulta Pani (Bisar Pani)

A gravity-hill spot on the road up from Ambikapur, where water seems to flow uphill. It is an optical illusion, and a good way to break the climb to the plateau.

Any daylight; fits as a stop on the way up
