Pacing
Pacing a Tijara trip for parents and children
- Visit the Jain temple in the morning; it is level and easy, with benches and a dining hall.
- At the fort-palace, ask for a room in a wing with easier access, as the property is built on a hill.
- Hire a car for Alwar and Bhangarh, and break the day with a long lunch.
- Skip the upper parts of Bala Quila if the climb is too much; the City Palace is easier.
- Carry water, a hat and medicines, as facilities are limited outside the hotel.
- Heat: April to June is very hot, with May around 40°C. Plan outdoor sights early and rest in the afternoon.
